FAQ

WHO MAKES THE MEMORIAL KEEPSAKES?

We have assembled a group of talented Glass Blowers throughout Canada to create your work of art such Memorial Orbs.

HOW MUCH CREMATED REMAINS ARE REQUIRED FOR AN ORDER?

We require approximately 1 teaspoon of cremations to produce a memorial keepsake. Any unused ashes will be returned to you.

WHAT IF I AM UNCOMFORTABLE COLLECTING THE ASHES?

A friend, family member, or your funeral home may be willing to do this for you. .

HOW DO I SEND THE COLLECTED ASHES TO YOU?

When you order, a complete collection packet will be sent to you. The package includes a shipping label, detailed instructions, necessary forms, and a screw-top tin with a collection bag inside. We cover the cost to ship this to you. The cost to ship it back to us can be paid directly to your local post office.

WHAT ARE YOUR PRODUCTION PROCEDURES TO GUARANTEE THE ASHES I SEND ARE IN THE MEMORIAL I RECEIVE?

When we receive the package, our incoming department logs it in, assigns a serial number, and seals the item in its own container. This allows documented trackability throughout the process and insures against any possible confusion with another client’s package. The integrity of our process and the respect for loved ones charged to our care are of the utmost importance.

WHAT DO FINISHED MEMORIAL KEEPSAKES LOOKS LIKE?

When cremains are added to cremation jewelry and keepsakes, it adds character to each piece. The appearance will depend upon the chemical and mineral makeup of the cremains, the thoroughness of the cremation process, the amount of carbon present, and how the ashes are absorbed, among other factors. Our Cremation keepsake jewelry and memorials can range from a dark green or amber to almost clear.
In some cases, only tiny gas bubbles are present in the crystal. In other cases, you may see a great deal of unabsorbed particulate matter. This matter could be evenly or unevenly distributed throughout the memorial keepsake. In other cremation keepsakes you may find that the particulate matter has been internally or peripherally concentrated.
The differences of appearance in each piece of crystal glass cremation jewelry make them strikingly unique. Each cremation keepsake, like each person, has its own distinctive personality.

HOW LONG DOES THE CREMATION KEEPSAKE PROCESS TAKE?

Please allow 4 to 6 weeks after we receive the cremains.

WHAT ARE MY COLOR OPTIONS FOR THE CRYSTAL GLASS CREMATION JEWELRY?

You may choose from several color options. Because all of our memorial jewelry contains cremains, we must stress that hue and shades may vary. Ultimately, color will depend on the essence and personality of your loved one’s cremains.

HOW DO THE ASHES APPEAR IN THE GLASS?

The ashes appear as a white/grey ribbon in the piece.

CAN I COMBINE ASHES FROM MORE THAN ONE INDIVIDUAL?

Yes, we often create single memorials from a mixture of two different individual's ashes. Keep in mind that we only use less than a tablespoon of ash, so combining ash means there will be a little less of each one inside the piece.
